Ashfall Wardens

Ashfall Wardens is the kind of RPG that respects your time without dumbing anything down. You lead a small band of survivors back to a ruined town, and every quest quietly ties into who lives there and what they need. Combat is turn-based with a neat stagger system that rewards planning over button mashing.

The writing carries it. Characters remember conversations, side quests loop back on each other, and there's a warmth to the whole thing that most mobile RPGs skip. Progression feels generous but never trivial.

Battery drain is real if you play long sessions, but the auto-save is bulletproof and you can drop out mid-fight without losing progress. Easily one of our favorite finds this year.
