Pocket Verdict started as a group chat between three friends who kept sending each other screenshots of weird little games nobody else was talking about. At some point the chat got too long and we figured we might as well write things down properly.

We cover mobile games across every genre we can get our hands on. RPGs, racers, tiny strategy sims, card games, puzzles that eat an afternoon. If it runs on a phone and has an idea worth sharing, we're interested.

Games get picked the boring, honest way: we play them for real. No single review is written after ten minutes. We look for something distinctive, then we live with the game for a few days to see whether it holds up once the novelty wears off.

We're a small team and we like it that way. It keeps the writing personal and lets us admit when we simply didn't get along with a game other people love.
